“Following a Rule of Life”

A Pilgrimage is a journey to a particular place with spiritual significance. Following our Lent 2012 Study on “A Rule of Life,” we will be building on our teaching, study and reflection with a pilgrimage to Italy where we will visit Florence, Assisi, and Rome – home to many religious communities and sites of early Christian communities.
Consider joining us on this pilgrimage, enjoy this opportunity to build community with fellow parishioners, visit Italy, experience Italian culture & cuisine and deepen your Lenten experience with an opportunity to pray, be still and worship in the places where early Christianity blossomed and Rules of Life were created.
We will be leaving Montreal on Wednesday, May 16th and returning to Montreal on Friday, May 25th. Note that this period of time includes the Victoria Day/Fête des Patriotes weekend. We will be celebrating on Sunday, May 20th with the Parish of St. Leonard's in Assisi and Brother Tom De Hoop, SSF. Many of you will have known Brother Tom from his visits here to St. James and his time as a priest here in the Diocese of Montreal.

If you are interested in taking part in this pilgrimage, please express your interest to either the Canon Rev. Linda Borden Taylor or the Rev. Robert Camara as soon as possible. Deadline to book your spot and put down your deposit will be the last weekend of January.

Canon Linda Borden Taylor and Rev. Robert Camara are on pilgrimage with some of our parishioners. This pilgrimage will continue the discussion we had during Lent on Following A Rule of Life as they visit some of the sites of early Christianity and monastic traditions in Florence, Assisi and Rome.
If you are unable to join this pilgrimage in person, you may want to join the pilgrimage on-line and follow their travels through these historical sites. The Rev. Robert Camara will be keeping a brief blog of their journey, so that we might be able to travel along with them and keep them in our prayers.
